Websites and social media for Sterling businesses: two local movers

Two Sterling moving companies, two different jobs: a quote-first website for M&C Moving, and Instagram and Facebook for Around Town Movers. What we did, and why.

Two of our clients are moving companies in Sterling, both locally owned. One needed a website; the other needed its social media looked after. Between them they cover the two places people check out a local business before they call it.

M&C Moving: a website that gets people to a quote

M&C Moving is run by Carlos Ramirez and his wife, and has handled residential and office moves across Northern Virginia since 2006. People choosing a mover usually want a price first, and decide quickly which companies to call — so we built the site around getting a quote.

  • The quote form sits at the top of the home page
  • It asks for the type of move, the date, and the from and to ZIP codes, so each request arrives with what M&C needs to price it
  • The phone number is in the header of every page
  • Separate pages cover residential and office moves, the company’s history and its service area

Around Town Movers: staying visible

Around Town Movers has more than 35 years of experience moving homes and offices across Northern Virginia and Washington, DC. We managed their Instagram and Facebook, creating and posting content to keep a well-known local name active online.

What this means for any Sterling business

Whatever you do, people look for two things before they get in touch: a clear way to get a price or book, and signs that the business is real and busy. A website handles the first; regular photos and posts handle the second. Most businesses need both, and we do both — website design and social media management.
